I can't stress it enough

As zen as a zebra? That's a new one. But count me in. If you are wondering where I have been, thanks for worrying! I've been suffocating behind 500 moving boxes, two boys and a daddy with strep throat, the preparations of a four-year-old's birthday party and deciding my future, among other things.

February is a stressful month. Whether it is the weather, work, school, family obligations, a broken heart, strep throat or financial problems (or maybe all of the above), it is easy for the stress to settle in like the winter chill in our bones.

So, this is your friendly reminder to find yourself in the heap. You are not your best self when you are under stress. Your family knows, your colleagues know, your boss knows. You know.

So, here are my favourite ways to destress:

  1. Take a bath or have a shower.
  2. Listen to relaxing audio track using headphones.
  3. Play a game that requires your full attention, like Sudoku, even if you don't like it.
  4. Talk to your person.
  5. Stretch.
  6. Sweat.
  7. Laugh.

It's not so important, what you do. It just matters that you do it.
